About Dr. Nazli Seewer
![]() I believe that everybody is unique and that one approach doesn't fit all.
My approach to therapy is integrative. I combine evidence based treatment with intuition to tailor therapy to each person's needs, taking into consideration their strengths and weaknesses. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, exposure and response prevention and elements of other therapies. My style is interactive and I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment that fosters trust between therapist and client to help clients explore and resolve life challenges. I have experience working with adults and adolescents struggling with a variety of issues, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, life transitions, substance abuse, and schizophrenia. I have worked in various settings including university counseling center, county outpatient mental health department, and intensive outpatient treatment programs. I have specialized training treating anxiety disorders (obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety, etc.) using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Having grown up in Switzerland and traveled extensively I am very sensitive to cultural issues and diversity. Please call or email me for a consultation. |
